Fandom: Stargate SG-1/SGA

Character Study: Teal'c

Warnings: flashes

Summary: Teal'c - integral, necessary and all too often ignored. He is truly a man alone, more so than any other character on SG, given his alien status, birth, upbringing/culture and his choice to rebel in a society that does not tolerate rebellion.

For Mitch

Special Thanks to Pinkdiamonds for having much better verbage than myself in explaining exactly why Teal'c is so special. :D

Mercy. That was a hell of a ride through this man's turning points, all the pinnacles that came his way after he became the shol'va. What an amazing life, and amazing strength. A truly underrated character and actor. I didn't realize Chris had so much in him. ...

Wow, thank you so much Mitch! :) I'm glad that you enjoy and appreciate where this vid came from. It's been a long time since I got this much feedback so...*squee*, *mental cartwheels*. *laugh*
(I loved the long hair too..*le sigh*)

Mercy. That was a hell of a ride through this man's turning points, all the pinnacles that came his way after he became the shol'va. What an amazing life, and amazing strength. A truly underrated character and actor. I didn't realize Chris had so much in him. I know he jokes at cons that his job is to just stand around in the background but clearly that's not true. And it just says more about the man that he can be so confident to even say something like that. And wow, great views of his body and the amazing variety of looks he had over the span of the show. I didn't realize how much I liked him in the long hair. Loved the sequences of movements. Then through the whole thing you thread in the words of the song to show how his inner conflict was drawn out from the moment of rebellion and never quite went away even on his visit to Atlantis. He was still working hard to just be himself and not what others expected of him or simply required of him (in the case of Master Bra'tak). A beautiful vid that shows his importance to the people he chose to join with, fight with and live with. Thank you.

Well, this certainly explains the way Teal'c 'holds himself in' at most times, but then has to let it all out at others. He certainly has a unique POV and deserves a life! very well done, hon!
